Terry Garrison

Terry is a life-long resident of the Easley community and has worked as an accountant/tax preparer (Garrison Business & Tax Services) in Easley for the past 42 years.  He has worked with the Miss South Carolina program for the past ten years serving as business manager of the Miss Easley Scholarship Pageant Program, the Miss Easley-Liberty-Pickens Triple Crown Scholarship Pageant Program and the Miss Easley/Clemson Scholarship Program.  He has been a scholarship provider for Miss South Carolina for the past three years.  He enjoys working with the Miss South Carolina contestants making sure they are visible in the community along with making the public aware of the community service and scholarship opportunities the girls are involved with.  Terry is on the Miss South Carolina approved judges list and is also the Local Executive Director of the Miss Greater Easley Scholarship Pageant.

Other community involvement:  Member of the Easley Rotary Club since 1977 with 32 years perfect attendance.  He has served as club secretary since 1991 and was president in 1994/95.  He has worked with the Rotary BBQ fund raiser since its inception in 1991, Rotary Interact Jobs Fair at Palmetto Baptist Medical Center, Sister Club Relationship with the Rotary Club of Tanauan D-3820 Philippines, and Rotary Exchange Students.  At Siloam Baptist Church he served as treasurer and assistant music director.  At Shiloh United Methodist Church he served on the finance committee, music leader, and administrative board chairman.  Other activities include the Business Advisory Council at BJ Skelton Career Center, President of the South Carolina Tax Council, board member and treasurer of the Easley Foothills Playhouse, treasurer for the Pickens County Free Medical Clinic, board member and treasurer of Greater Greenville Concert Association, board member, treasurer and president of Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce, board member, treasurer, and chairman of Palmetto Baptist Health Easley Foundation, treasurer of Easley Development Corp., member of the Endowment committee with the United Way of Pickens County, major sponsor for the Big League World Series since 1999, and hosted teams with the Big League World Series from the Philippines and Saipan.

John Hess

Since 1987 John has been involved with Client Service, Management, Tax and Bookkeeping. He holds his Enrolled Agent (EA) designation which enables him to practice before the IRS. He is an Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA). John holds Securities licenses Series 7, 63, 65 and Insurance licenses in multiple states.Personal 1040, S-Corp 1120-S, C-Corp 1120-C, non-profit 990, and trust 1041 continuing education, among others, are filed routinely by John. He has helped numerous clients with Problems Resolution results with the IRS and State agencies. He prepares state tax returns in all states where filing is required.

John is currently the Executive Director of the South Carolina Tax Council (www.sctaxcouncil.org), a group that provides continuing education to CPAs, EA, attorneys, and tax professionals. He serves as Area Chapter Director for HD Vest. The meetings provide securities continuing education, training and networking with area Investment Advisors. John maintains his securities licenses and insurance licenses through continuing education at national and local conferences.

John is an author and speaker. He has been published in Investment Advisor magazine and has published a Christian devotional book. John serves on a variety of local, SC and national nonprofit organizations, including his church Second Baptist Lancaster. He is married to Malissa. They have a daughter and son. His daughter and son-in-law have blessed him with 2 grandsons.

Clark Parker

Been in practice since 1980. Been in Tax Council since 1991, serving as Vice President, President, and currently the Program Director. Local charities include membership and leadership roles: Coastal Carolina University, former Trustee, Alumni President, past president of Athletic Booster Club. Friendship Medical Center- Past President and current treasurer. Red Cross, March of Dimes, Habitat For Humanity fund raising activities. Hobbies include walking and tennis.
